Back to CertSimple

Privacy

CertSimple is built to help teams track certificates of insurance without turning vendor documents into a marketing database.

Current policy for CertSimple, operated by MNAC.

Do not email certificate PDFs to support unless we ask for a redacted sample. Use the in-app uploader so access controls and retention rules apply.

What we collect

CertSimple collects the account email you use to sign in, certificate PDFs you upload, extracted certificate fields, configured coverage requirements, checkout metadata from Stripe, support messages you send us, and product analytics such as page views, upload attempts, and feature usage.

How we use it

We use this data to provide COI tracking, flag expired or incomplete records, operate billing and support, improve the product, detect abuse, and understand whether the product is useful enough to keep building.

Certificate files

Uploaded COIs are private to the signed-in workspace. CertSimple is not an insurance broker, carrier, or legal adviser. PASS, FAIL, expired, and expiring statuses are informational tracking flags only.

Analytics

We use first-party events and PostHog analytics to understand product usage and conversion. We do not use analytics to sell certificate data.

Billing

Payments are handled by Stripe. CertSimple does not store full card numbers. Stripe sends us checkout and subscription metadata so we can activate access, handle refunds, and resolve support requests.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run CertSimple, such as hosting, analytics, billing, and support infrastructure. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service from abuse.

Retention

We keep account, billing, analytics, and uploaded COI data while needed to operate the service, comply with financial records, resolve disputes, and improve the product. You can request deletion by emailing support@mnac.io from the account email.
